About
Summers research and work focuses around the theme of identity.
She explores the markers and methods that we use in everyday society to define our identity, reflecting on her own identity as a large subject of the work. Inspired by historic processes and how different people across the globe define their identity, Summer works across many mediums in response to these topics. More recently she has been working with hyper connectivity and future technologies, discovering what these current issues mean for the development of the definition of personal and social identity.
Summer Graduated from Bath Spa University in 2017 where she studied Contemporary Arts Practice. After undertaking a 6 month internship at KARST gallery in Plymouth, she now lives in Exeter and works for local charity organicARTS.
